Not too much to say.
March 18, 2005

Today's Brothers Donathan will be updated later on today in the PM. Today is traveling day, heading up to Rochester for my stuff, for those in the know. However, if you didn't check the comic yesterday, then there's a new comic today as I wasn't able to update on Wednesday due to server issues. Everything's fixed now though, so go enjoy the comic - and another one tonight.

For those of you questioning my motives on the comic that's up now, let me just say this. I sincerely believe that entertainment has ruined the concept of sexuality. Sexuality doesn't mean "sex," it also doesn't mean "gratuitous sex scene." I believe sexuality is simply a humanizing emotion. Nothing more, nothing less. The way I have portrayed Kate in the latest comic, I feel is real. Nothing is overly sexual about it, yet it's sexy at the same time. It's subtle and pleasing, without the notion of being provocative. It is what it is. I fear that my explaining my theories of sexuality may come off as patting myself on the back, but it's something I thought I should welcome into public discussion.

A woman's finest trait is her sexuality, I believe, and that doesn't mean frighteningly thin, cookie-cutter cheerleader looks, and/or record breaking breasts. Sometimes it is, most of the times, it's not. It's real.

I would say 99.9% of sexuality is interior. Very little of anyone (be it man or woman)'s sexuality is determined by outside looks. Take Kate, for example, the characterization for her is very conservatively dressed, sharp attitude and a quick wit. This is one of the few times she's shown casual femininity and because of the contrast of personality, it works. In the end, it has nothing to do with her appearance.

I talk about this as though I've received raised eyebrows over the latest comic, which I haven't. I just like explaining my theories to a mass audience. And let's face it, not to offend, but how many people reading this comic are going to break down my intent for what I've decided to show? Probably a very low percentage. That's why I like to cram theories down your throat. Think, people, think! Sins of the...
April 4, 2005

Glad you all enjoyed the April's Fools joke last Friday. For those of you who saw the site for the first time on Friday, I apologize, I hope it didn't completely burn out your eyes.

Brothers Donathan goes into full action today. Just to answer some questions by people - Re-starting today, IC:BD is on a tri-weekly schedule - Monday, Wednesday, Friday: The webcomic standard. So come back on Wednesday!

Saw Sin City with a group of about 20 people last week, an army with this man as our leader. Stunning, entertaining, and satisfied my noir-tooth! I'll have to look at the list, I'm not sure what other movies this year I'm really looking forward too - hope Sin City wasn't the end of the line for 2005. Tragic.
